Arcane Season 2 Trailer Unleashes A War Between The Cities

It’s been three long years since the first season of Netflix’s Arcane animated series left League of Legends fans on the edge of their seats. In the closing moments of the Season 1 finale, Jinx spitefully launched a weapon that took out most of the leaders of Piltover just when they were on the verge of granting Zaun its independence. Now, in the new trailer for Arcane Season 2, war between the two cities is inevitable and Jinx finds herself in an unusual position. Because she struck first against Zaun’s oppressors, the people of that city consider Jinx a hero.

Meanwhile, Jinx’s sister, Vi, has accepted that the girl she knew as Powder isn’t the same person that she was as a child. Vi’s friend and potential lover, Caitlyn, has an even deeper vendetta against Jinx for the destruction that she caused and the lives she’s claimed. That’s why both Vi and Caitlyn are among Piltover’s champions as the cities head to war.

The rest of the trailer offers a few hints about what’s coming up in the battles ahead, and it looks like the situation is escalating beyond the control of either side. Larger forces may be in play as the power of Arcane is unleashed, but the second and final season will inevitably come down to another confrontation between Vi and Jinx.

Hailee Steinfeld stars in the series as the voice of Vi, with Fallout‘s Ella Purnell as Jinx, and Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman. Fallout Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in November, but an exact release date hasn’t been set yet.
