SYDNEY, NSW (CelebrityAccess) — Revive Live, a program to support Australia’s live touring sector, announced that it has officially begun accepting grant applications for 2024.
The program, which was announced by Australia’s government as part of the nation’s 2024-25 budget, seeks to safeguard touring opportunities for Australian artists while fostering a sustainable live music ecosystem.
Grants are available for established live music venues or established contemporary music festivals, as well as for activities that create or sustain performance opportunities and the development of artists working in contemporary music.
Revive Live also focuses on activities that provide career pathways for musicians and music workers with disabilities.
“Revive Live will safeguard performance opportunities for Australian artists with targeted funding to create a more resilient and sustainable live music ecosystem, in the face of rising operational costs for live music venues and festivals. This recognises live music venues and music festivals as a fundamental pillar for success that is vital to the development of both artist and audience—allowing artists to grow audiences, build professionalism and profile, and earn an income,” Australia’s Office for the Arts stated.
Applications are currently being accepted until August 23, 2024.
