Celine Joshua Named EVP OF Global Marketing At BMG

German label giant BMG announced the appointment of Celine Joshua to the role of Executive Vice President, Global Marketing.

In his newly role, the Los Angeles-based Joshua will take on oversight of BMG’s marketing strategy and operations across the company’s 20 regional worldwide, with divisional responsibility for the Digital Marketing, Content, Consumer Insights & Analytics, and Marketing Operations teams. She will report directly to BMG CEO Thomas Coesfeld.

“I’m honored to join BMG at such a pivotal time in the music industry and to work across BMG’s artist roster to create exciting ways for them to connect with fans around the world. I’m thankful to Thomas for this opportunity and I’m looking forward to working with the BMG team,” Joshua said.

Joshua joins BMG from Universal Music Group where she served as Executive Vice President of Commercial Innovation & Artist Strategy, working with artists such as Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, The Weeknd, and Elton John, among others.

She began her career in the IT department of Warner Music Group before moving into ecommerce at WMG’s catalog division, Rhino Entertainment.

She also did a stint at Disney Music as Head of Digital, working across Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Records and the company’s film studios and consumer products division.

She was also Senior Vice President at Sony Music Entertainment, overseeing digital sales across the company’s labels.

Her sharp digital acumen and artistic instincts will be invaluable in identifying innovative commercial opportunities for our artists, songwriters and music catalog,” added Coesfeld.
