While watching the movie, it was admittedly difficult not to think of Storm, especially once we see the former Magneto lackey, Toad. Berry’s performance as this mighty mutant was always subject to a bit of ridicule after a scene in the first X-Men movie where she dramatically asked if the villain knew what happened to a toad after getting struck by lightning before over-delivering the insane punchline: “the same thing that happens to everything else.”
Still, Halle Berry’s performance as the character improved in subsequent films, and it would have been very fun to see her interact with Toad yet again in Deadpool & Wolverine.
