Infinity Nikki, the latest game in the Nikki series, was revealed earlier this year. Now, it’s giving players a chance to try it out on their own soon, and before it officially launches. As revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live, The closed beta test for Infinity Nikki is now taking sign-ups, as well as letting players on iOS and Android pre-register for the game.
Infinity Nikki is also coming to PS5 and PC. In this newest of Nikki games, players can explore the setting of Miraland with their cat companion, Momo.
The game is billed as a cozy open-world RPG, and features gameplay elements such as platforming, puzzle-solving, photo collection, and dress-up mini-games where clothing options give you various abilities. It also comes from former The Legend of Zelda director Kentaro Tominaga.
There have been several Nikki games before this one, such as Love Nikki and Shining Nikki, but this one recently had the benefit of a bright spotlight during Sony’s State of Play earlier this year, and marks the series’ console debut, which seems to have increased its profile with previously uninitiated players.
