Deadpool Director Making A Video Game TV Series, And It’s Not What You Think

Prime Video is expanding its video game-themed offerings, as Deadpool 1 director Tim Miller will helm a new video game anthology series for the Fallout TV show streamer. The show, Secret Level, arrives on Prime Video on December 10.

The animated series is said to be similar to Miller’s popular Love, Death & Robots anthology series at Netflix. Like with that show, Miller will produce Secret Level with his Blur Studio company.

There are 15 episodes in all, featuring stories based on existing games, classics, indies, and new titles. It’s been in the works for more than three years already. The episodes are inspired by these franchises:

  • Armored Core
  • Concord
  • Crossfire
  • Dungeons & Dragons
  • Exodus
  • Honor of Kings
  • Mega Man
  • New World: Aeternum
  • PAC-MAN
  • various PlayStation Studios games
  • Sifu
  • Spelunky
  • The Outer Worlds
  • Unreal Tournament
  • Warhammer 40,000

In addition to this new series, Prime Video is making a God of War show, Season 2 of Fallout, and new Tomb Raider series (and a game), among other video game projects.

As for Miller, he worked on the Borderlands movie for its re-shoots and produced the two Sonic the Hedgehog films, so he’s well-versed in video game entertainment.
