Descenders Next Is A Full Sequel Coming In 2025, Day-One To Game Pass

Publisher No More Robots has announced that Descenders Next will be coming in 2025 for PC and Xbox, and it will be included on Game Pass. Even though this is the follow-up to the first Descenders, the publisher cheekily said, “Told you Descenders 2 didn’t exist.”

Descenders Next is expanding on its 2019 predecessor, which primarily had only downhill mountain biking, by including a variety of other extreme sports and different biomes such as grasslands, snowy slopes, and dry mountains. Now, players will be able to shred downhill on snowboards and mountain boards.

The game will also feature a character customizer and a rep system that will allow players to unlock new threads, gear, and boards, as well as editing tools to help players create snippets of their adventures down the mountain. Electronic artist Monstercat is stepping in to provide the game’s soundtrack.

As the game will also be part of Xbox Game Pass, it’s currently unknown whether it will come to PlayStation and Nintendo platforms. The first game was released on all major platforms, so it’s possible that Descenders Next will do so at a later date.
