Mojang has partnered with Nickelodeon to introduce a SpongeBob SquarePants DLC to Minecraft. The latest add-on introduces new mobs, vehicles, weapons, and more for players.
As detailed by the Minecraft store, the DLC will allow players to visit iconic locations from the show, such as the Chum Bucket, Krusty Krab, and even SpongeBob’s house. On top of that, they’ll also have the option to play as various characters from the show to drive the iconic Rock car, Flying Dutchman, and even a Seahorse.
What makes this add-on unique is that it isn’t its own mode. Instead, players can incorporate this into their survival world. Players will have the chance to complete various quests given to them by characters from the show, some of which will have them facing off against characters like Plankton, DoodleBob, and the Flying Dutchman.
Once players complete these quests, they’ll be rewarded with Bikini Bottom blueprints that can be used to build structures from the show. The SpongeBob SquarePants DLC is out now and costs 1,510 Minecraft Coins (Minecraft’s premium currency), which equates to $10. Those who purchase it will also get access to 10 new clothing items they can equip on their character.
Mojang has been busy lately. Not too long ago, the studio also released a DLC that introduced a new way to play Tetris.
