KANSAS CITY (CelebrityAccess) — A man in Kansas City is facing a criminal charge after threatening to shoot two professional football players during a Morgan Wallen concert at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium Friday night.
According to the Kansas City Star, the man, identified as Aaron Brown of Winchester, Illinois, is facing a felony count making a terroristic threat.
The man was alleged to have made the threat on social media before the concert, alerting authorities to the potential threat against two members of the Kansas City Chiefs at the large public event.
While the names of the players that were allegedly targeted in the post were not disclosed, Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, and Travis Kelce, were in attendance at the show, the Star reported.
The start of the concert was delayed for 40 minutes while police searched the venue for Brown, where he was eventually located and detained by public safety officials.
According to the Star, Brown told police that he intended no harm and did not believe anyone would read the posted threat he was alleged to have made.
Brown could face up to 4 years in prison or a fine of up to $10,000 if found guilty.
