It’s not every day that true crime aficionados get to watch a film about a case with a supernatural twist, so when Netflix announced the vampire documentary in February in 2024, fans were rightfully intrigued.

Vampires in Gem City was described as a true crime doc 30 years in the making, with the nations’s second-largest coven of vampires at the heart of the mystery of the disappearance of then 26-year-old George Phillip Gall.

However, according to The Dayton Daily News, Gall’s family have stated that Netflix executives told them that the project will not be aired following three years of production.
