Admission Requirements for Princeton University (International Students) Details
GPA Average GPA of admitted students: 3.9. A GPA of 4.0 or close can improve chances.
Standardized Test Scores No minimum requirement, but a score of 32 or higher on the ACT is recommended.

Application Fee or Fee Waiver Submit fee waiver via Coalition or Common Application. Options include Princeton-specific, ACT, College Board, or NACAC. Low-income students and U.S. military applicants are eligible for the Princeton-specific fee waiver.
Graded Written Paper Required, preferably in English or history.
Transcript Official transcript must be sent by a school counselor or school official.
School Report (SR) Available from Coalition or Common Application; submit through school counselor or school official.
Counselor Recommendation Separate from the SR; invite your school counselor or academic adviser to complete both items.
Two Teacher Recommendations Two teachers from different academic areas (e.g., English, humanities, sciences) must complete recommendation forms. Forms available on Coalition or Common Application website.
Midyear School Report Submit through school counselor or school official when midyear grades are available.

Additional Requirements for Transfer Applicants:-

Requirement Details
SAT or ACT Take the SAT or ACT by October for early action and by December for regular decision. Use SAT code 2672 and ACT code 2588 to send scores to Princeton.
SAT Subject Tests Not required, but you may submit scores if taken before January/June 2021.
TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE Academic Required if English is not your native language and your school does not instruct in English. Not required if English is your native language or if you’ve spent at least three years in an English-speaking secondary school. Use TOEFL code 2672 to send scores directly to Princeton.
