Storm Shuts Down Multiple Stages At The Leeding Festival

LEEDS, UK (CelebrityAccess) — The Leeds Festival was forced to shutdown multiple stages on Friday after the festival site was battered by strong winds from Storm Lilian.

The storm brought heavy winds and rain to parts of England on Friday morning, leaving several of the festival’s more than 10 stages unusable.

In a statement posted to social media, festival organizers said: “It’s been a tough morning but we are aiming to pen the arena between 1:45PM and 2PM with the frost live act, Bru-C on the main stage at 3:10 PM as per the schedule.”

The Chevron, BBC, and Radio 1 & Aux stage will remain closed for today, and the BBC Introducing stage will continue as normal from around 3pm. More info on the Festival Republic stage to follow,” the statement added.

It is unclear if artists such as Beabadoobee, Ashnikko, or Artemas, whose sets were impacted by the weather cancellation, will be rescheduled.

Leeds 2024 is scheduled to take place from August 23-25 with a lineup that includes Blink-182, Lana Del Rey, Fontaines D.C., Raye, The Prodigy, and more.
