Two years after confirming that it was working on a new game in the Mafia series, publisher 2K announced Mafia: The Old Country at Gamescom Opening Night.
Despite the Mafia series leaning heavily on Italian mobsters, Mafia: The Old Country will be the first game actually set in Italy. It’s heading to Sicily in the 1900s. This confirms several rumours over the years.
“Fight to survive in this dangerous and unforgiving era,” says the small blurb, “with action brought to life by the authentic realism and rich storytelling that the critically acclaimed Mafia series is known for.”
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will all get the game sometime in 2025. Developer Hangar 13 says it plans on releasing more information in December of this year.
